Nightshine! is a stellar collaboration borne from an image I took from the cockpit at 37,000 over New York looking north celebrating 4 small businesses in the pen community.

There are a few remarkable things about this image:

1-In all my 48 years on the planet, I have never seen the Northern Lights in real life!

2-I took this picture over NY heading east through 3 panes of glass in the cockpit of a Boeing 737!

3-The colors in this image were not at all what my naked eye was seeing in real life. I only saw whitish gray light emanating up from the horizon and got lucky with one shutter click!
