The Cartwheel Galaxy is a stellar collaboration between 4 small businesses created to honor the James Webb Space Telescope and one of its first spectacular images of the Cartwheel Galaxy. Designed and imagined by Lucky Star Pens, the material was hand-poured by Bob Dupras, the pen was turned by Rich Paul of River City Pen Company, and the cap finial, fashioned after the 18 gold mirrors of the telescope itself, was made by Braxton Frankenberry of Divine Turning Supply.

The acrylic resin material highlights the brilliant, radiant colors seen from the JWST through its Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam), which reveals new details about star formation and a new view of how the Cartwheel Galaxy has changed over billions of years.

The fountain pen comes with a standard cartridge converter and a steel, gold-plated Jowo #6 nib available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Broad sizes.
